Here’s a trick which you’ll probably never use but it’s a trick none the less. I'm assuming it's a trick because it is an odd way to accomplish the task.

Say you have 8 files open with the ‘File Tab’ bar showing. If you want to move, say, tab 7 to the tab 2 position, you click and drag tab 7 to the second position. But if you want, (I can’t really think of a reason since I just found the trick) you can flip two tab positions at once.

For example:
To flip file tabs 7 and 2 positions, right click on tab 7 to display the context menu. Now, go click tab 2 and the 2 and 7 tabs will switch positions.
